1000 PAINTINGS
Why 1000 paintings?

Well I have a bunch stories I want to tell. Many of them are best told through a visual form, like web comics.
​
To make lots of them, I want to learn to paint things quickly and ensure that what I wish to convey comes out clearly. Hopefully the paintings also look good.
​
Lots of different good artists on YouTube have given great advice. The two things that stood out to me the most are:
-
iterate quickly to speed up learning
-
do a thousand paintings to make good paintings consistently.
​
1000 is a lot, so I'm splitting them into collections of 100.

Some time during this set of 100 paintings, I started to record my painting process. At the time I started to record some of my paintings I was considering streaming these painting sessions.
During my masters degree program I actually did manage to stream some of the sessions on twitch. Recordings of some of those sessions made their way to my YouTube channel for painting.
At the moment, progress with my painting YouTube has been paused as I learn to manage my multiple projects well. I actually have a blog post about this whole juggling of these many projects over here.
